BFC Kuchinda Clinches O.P. Jindal Memorial Football Tournament 2026 in Anugola

Anugola, Aug. 18 : BFC Kuchinda emerged champions of the O.P. Jindal Memorial Football Tournament 2026, defeating Bargarh United 7-6 in a thrilling final at Kadam Padia, Anugola, on Tuesday. The closely contested match drew a large gathering of football enthusiasts who came to witness the grand finale and celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship.
Organised by Jindal Foundation, in loving memory of its founder Chairman, Shri O.P. Jindal, the tournament celebrated the values of teamwork, unity and excellence, while providing a platform for emerging football talent of Odisha.
The final was attended by Shri Rudra Narayan Pani, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Dhenkanal, as the Chief Guest. including Shri Pratap Pradhan, MLA, Anugola; Shri Akshaya Kumar Samant, municipality chairman, Anugola; Shri Akshaya Setha, DSO Anugola; Shri Pradipta Behera, Senior Superintendent, Anugola Jail; Shri Hridayeswar Jha, Executive Director (Special Projects), Jindal Steel; Shri Rishi Pathania, Head CSR, Jindal foundation and other dignitaries.
The dignitaries applauded the participating teams and appreciated Jindal Foundation’s efforts to promote sports and nurture local sporting talent. Bargarh United put up a strong challenge and fought hard until the final whistle, while BFC Kuchinda displayed determination, discipline and composure to finally lift the coveted trophy.
Persons who were awarded in the final match for their outstanding performance were : Man of the Finals- Samir Pradhan (BFC KUCHINDA), Best Goalkeeper (Alok Ekka Bargarh United), Player of the Tournament – Chinni Kissan (BFC KUCHINDA), etc.
During the tournament, a dedicated players’ pavilion constructed by Jindal Foundation was inaugurated at Kadam Padia, and the local district sports authorities collaborated with the Foundation to make the event successful.
