Balasore: BBCCB president Ganesh Mohapatra holds sway over BJD aspirants in Simulia

Balasore, March 13: Ganesh Prasad Mohapatra, the president of Balasore-Bhadrak Central Cooperative Bank (BBCCB), Balasore, has a bright chance of getting nominated as BJD candidate to contest the upcoming assembly elections as he holds sway over other aspirants.
Ganesh started his political career as a president of student union from Bhadrak Autonomous College in 2005 from Biju Chhatra Janata Dal (BCJD). He was Ravaneshaw College (Now Ravenshaw University) president in 2007.Ever since, he didn’t go back. He charted out his forward journey step by step and went on to become the president of BBCCB as well as youth general secretary in BJD. He not only worked as general secretary, but also discharged his duties as observer in many assembly constituencies.
His work efficiency is proved at Mayurbhanj district in the last general election 2019.
The area from where Ganesh Mohapatra is represents that place is Dungura of Khaira block, and is coming under Simulia assembly constituency of Balasore district. This constituency consists of numbers of two blocks. One is khaira and another is Simulia having the voters of 2,53,577 according to the 2023 voter list.
Of the total 59 gram panchayats of Simulia constituency, Khaira block has 37 GPs. After Independence, not a single person from Khaira has been elected as MLA. Since Ganesh belongs to Khaira, he now holds a sway over others.
Some great supporters of Ganesh like Sukhdev Behera, Anand Dhal and Jagannath Das have told to the leading newspaper of Indus Valley Times (IVT) by the blessings of the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, a son of the soil has to take charge as the representative of Simulia assembly constituency to raise major problems of Khaira –Simulia in Odisha Legislative Assembly.
“My life is dedicated to serve the people. If I get a chance to contest the forthcoming polls, I will try to live up to the expectation of the my constituency people,” says Ganesh.
