Athletes of Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Centre shine at Artistic Gymnastics National Championships

Bhubaneswar, May8 :  Athletes of Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High-Performance Centre (GHPC) have achieved remarkable success at the Junior & Senior Artistic Gymnastics National Championships 2025 – 2026 held during April 25 – May 03, 2025, in Pune, Maharashtra. Gymnasts from the GHPC dominated both Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG), bagging multiple medals. Out of 24 gymnasts of the GHPC who had participated in various categories, six of them won nine medals in various events while representing their respective teams.

Representing Odisha, in the Junior MAG category, Ajad Laskar showcased his talent by winning two bronze medals scoring 10.733 on High Bar and 10.567 on Still Rings. Biru Chandra Rao added to the medal tally in the same category with a strong performance on Vault, scoring 12.600 to claim the bronze.

Representing Odisha, in the Junior WAG category, PreetyJhankaar earned the silver medal for Odisha on Balance Beam with a score of 10.500. She alsosecured the fourth position in All Around, showcasing incredible consistency and determination.

Odisha Senior WAG Team, featuring four gymnasts from the GHPC–Rashmita Behera, AditiTodi, Tannu, and Priyanshi Bansal, delivered a solid performance to secure fourth place with the score of 114.

Representing Odisha,a total of four medals were won by the athletes of GHPC making the state proud ina national championship.

Representing Sports Services Control Board, in the SeniorMAG category, Tapan Mohanty from the GHPC secured gold medal on Floor Exercise with an impressive score of 12.567 and earned silver on Still Rings with a score of 12.133. He alsocontributed significantly to the team’s silver medal in the Team Championship.

Representing Railways, in the Senior Women’s Category, Karishma securedgold medal on Uneven Bars with a score of 10.967.Karishma and Pranati Nayak from the GHPC,as part of the Senior Railways WAG Team, secured second position in the Team championship with a score of 127.

This medal tally and the overall performance of all the participating athletes from the Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Center (GHPC) is a testament to the robust support and efforts by AM/NS India and the Government of Odisha in nurturing gymnastics within the state and the Nation at large.
