When the police zeroed in, Amritpal Singh and his aides abandoned their vehicle near a Gurdwara in Marnaian village and fled. A cordon and search operation was launched late night in and around the village while checkposts and barricades were raised on the roads, but the Khalistani separatist escaped the dragnet.

Amritpal Singh remains untraceable since a police crackdown against him and members of his pro-Khalistan Waris Punjab De outfit on March 18, about three weeks after he and his supporters stormed into the Ajnala police station near Amritsar to secure the release of his aide.

Amritpal Singh escaped the police net in Jalandhar on March 18 by switching vehicles and changing appearances. He was later spotted in CCTV visuals from Haryana and Delhi.

In the latest footage, Amritpal Singh and his aide Papalpreet Singh were seen walking on Delhi roads with sunglasses and a face mask. There was no official word from the Punjab Police on the fresh undated footage.
