AM/NS India observes World Health Day across locations in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Apr 8 :ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) observed World Health Day across its operational locations in Odisha, in alignment with this year’s global theme, “Together for health. Stand with science.” Through engaging activities, awareness workshops, free tests and consultations, the company reaffirmed its strong commitment to the health and well-being of its employees, partners as well as the nearby community members.
At the Paradeep Complex, the day commenced with an energising Zumba Fitness session for employees, setting a lively tone for the workforce. This was followed by office ergonomics and meditation practices, reinforcing the importance of holistic well-being. The journey toward better health continued throughout the day with consultation sessions that addressed specific concerns such as ortho and joint-related issues, along with guidance on managing sitting posture conditions. Further highlighting preventive healthcare, the medical team conducted Bone Mineral Density tests. The programmes were graced by AM/NS India leadership including Shri USR Raju, Head–Odisha Operations, Shri Rajarshi Sinha, Head–Power Plant and Dr. Ajit Jena, Chief Medical Officer–Odisha Asset.
At the Bhubaneswar office, several meaningful initiatives were organised, including an Oral Health Camp, a Neuro Consultation, and a Spine Health Awareness Session, all graced by the presence of Dr. Debabrata Dash, Head–HR (East), AM/NS India.
World Health Day was also observed at the Dabuna Beneficiation Plant in Keonjhar, where impactful awareness sessions were conducted for employees and associates at the New Hostel Building. These sessions emphasised on oral health awareness, highlighting the harmful effects of tobacco and betel nut. Additionally, a dedicated session on workplace ergonomics was organised, featuring a practical workshop to promote healthier and more sustainable work practices. The program was held in the presence ofShri Jaiwardhan Paroha, Head-Beneficiation Plant, Dabuna.
The Mining Division of AM/NS India, under its CSR initiative, observed World Health Day at Saheed Ratan Pradhan UP School, Thakurani, and Kalmang Village, Sagasahi, with active participation from the community and school children. This combined community and school-level engagement programme, along with a health awareness session on preventive healthcare, was conducted to emphasize hygiene, nutrition, vaccination, and disease prevention.
Through its initiatives across Odisha, AM/NS India continues to promote a culture of health and wellbeing for employees, partners, and communities.
