Illegal  black stone quarry- two  killed in a cave in incident

 JAJPUR,MAY 31 r:  Two workers were killed in a cave-in incident  on Wednesday   in an illegal quarry at Lunibara  black stone quarry    under Jenapur  police station  of  Jajpur district. A portion of the hillock caved in   while they were doing illegal  black stone-  quarry works  in a proclean machine.   Both the deceased  workers  have   been identified as  Santanu Khilar (28) the operator  and  Apu Rout (17) the helper of the proclean machine.  Both died on the spot. 

Police seized the bodies  and sent them to the local government hospital  at Dharamsala for autopsy , said the IIC of Jenapur police station, Umakanta Nayak. A contractor illegally  engaged some workers  to collect black stones though he  has not obtained any permission from the authorities  for lifting stones from the hill.  We will take necessary actions against the persons who illegally engaged  deceased workers and others in the illegal quarry work,   said  the Tehasildar of Dharamsala, Swagat Das.
