Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti celebrated at CSIR-IMMT
Bhubaneswar, April 15: 132ndDr. B R Ambedkar Jayanti has been celebrated at CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology, Bhubaneswar in presence of 250 participants including 25 students from SriSriMaa Anandsram, Damana, Bhubaneswar.
Dr. Ashok Kumar Sahu, Senior most Chief Scientist CSIR-IMMT Bhubaneswar chaired the programmeand Chief Guest Dr. Narendra Chandra Murmu, Director CSIR-CMERI, Durgapur has addressed the gathering and motivated the school children.
Chief Guest Dr. Murmu, has delivered the key note address on Women equality and gender discrimination in the society. According Dr Ambedkar men and women are equal. Women are now getting opportunity in every sector. Through a presentation he explained women rights, right to education, feminism &tribal society, education to children, women empowerment. He also discussed about Dr. Ambdedkar’s contribution toward Indian Constitution.
On this occasion School Bags were distributed to 25 students of the Sri Sri Maa Anandsram Damana, Bhubaneswar.
Dr. Nabin Kumar Dhal, Vice Chairman Dr Ambedkar Jayhanti Committee, has delivered the welcome address and Dr. Santosh Kumar Behera, Principal Scientist &General Secretary of IMMT SC/ST Employees Welfare Organization thanked all the participants, dignitaries for participating in the celebration.
