Minister Kaushik Rai Assures Early Release of Pending Salaries of Provincialised Municipal Employees of Assam

Guwahati/Assam, Aug 20 : A meeting was held on Wednessday at the office Conference Hall of Minister Housing and Urban Affairs, etc Kaushik Rai with representatives of Provincialised Municipal Employees from across the State to discuss the issue of their pending salaries and other related concerns.
During the meeting, the representatives apprised the Minister of the pending salary issue and highlighted various difficulties being faced by the employees due to the delay in payment of salaries. They also raised issues related to the regular provision and disbursement of salaries.
After detailed discussions and deliberations, Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, Kaushik Rai, confirmed the representatives that the pending salaries for the last five months would be released shortly. He further confirmed that necessary steps would be taken to ensure the regular release of salaries without further delay.
The Minister stated that the concerns of the municipal employees would be given due consideration and assured that the Government would take all necessary measures to resolve the issues at the earliest.
Tangkeswar Das, Secretary, Department of Housing and Urban Affairs and I/c Director, Municipal Administration, along with other officials, was present at the meeting.
