“Non-Profit Tax Leader of the Year 2025” award for Smile Foundation Finance Head

Bhubaneswar/Odisha,Dec 19 :  BW CFO World, in association with BW Businessworld, organised the inaugural edition of the BW CFO World – India Tax Leaders Summit 2025 in New Delhi.

 The inaugural edition of the forum recognised outstanding leadership in finance, governance, and compliance across industries.

 Smile Foundation’s Vice President, Finance & Governance,Pratap Kumar Ray was conferred with the “Non-Profit Tax Leader of the Year 2025”award due to his visionary leadership, multifaceted contributions, and extraordinary dedication to the legal and compliance community.

 “The credit lies in the continuous mentoring I have been receiving during the two-decade-long journey with Smile Foundation so far, almost since its inception. This gives me immense pride that I have been part of the journey of this institution, which has earned its name as one of the trusted and best-governed development organisations in India,” says Mr. Pratap Ray.

Mr. Ray was born in Kendrapara, Odisha. He completed his education in Utkal University, before moving to New Delhi, where he resides with his family now.

The award winners were conferred through a meticulous process, led by a jury comprising of several esteemed leaders of the fields of finance, governance and administration.

The accolade has acknowledged the strategic acumen required to navigate the complex financial and regulatory landscape. As per the award authorities, Mr. Ray’s leadership in these areas contributed to building a strong and accountable organizational framework, which is essential for any institution working toward long-term and sustainable impact in the society.
