Kadraka’s appointment as Rayagada DCC president to boost party future

Move aims to strengthen grassroots cadre and energize party ahead of political battles in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Sept. 30: In a key organisational reshuffle under the ongoing Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan, Congress President has approved the appointment of new District Congress Committee (DCC) Presidents across Odisha. Among the most notable appointments, Rayagada MLA Appalaswamy Kadraka has been named the new DCC President of Rayagada district, with immediate effect.

The Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan, a flagship initiative of the Congress Party, is aimed at strengthening its grassroots structure. As part of the exercise, All India Congress Committee (AICC) Observers were deputed to districts to review local organizational strength, hold consultations, and provide feedback before finalizing appointments.

Party insiders view Kadraka’s appointment as a decisive step to energize the cadre in Rayagada, a politically significant district in southern Odisha. Senior leaders including former DCC president Durga Panda, Shankarsan Magangaraj, Bappi Patnaik’s PA, Simanchal Giri Ullaka, Ratnamani Ullaka, Sunil Ch. Panda, and Koraput MP Saptagiri Ullaka congratulated Kadraka, expressing confidence that his leadership will revitalize the party’s base.

With this move, the Congress Party has reaffirmed its focus on organizational renewal and grassroots empowerment in Odisha, signaling its preparedness for upcoming political challenges.
