One Month External Training to GETs of Hindalco Industries Limited

Odisha, Aug 6 : CSIR-IMMT concludes one-month external technical training program for Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs) of Hindalco Industries Limited on Aug 05, 2025 which has been conducted for one month from July 07-Aug 05, 2025 with a series of sessions (including theory/demonstrations/practical, hands-on and Learning on Wheels etc.,) on various aspects focusing the theme/objective of the training program. This program has been attended with 39 GETs from various working stations of Hindalco Industries Limited
Shri Sanjiv Kumar Singh, CMD – Hindustan Copper Limited was the chief guest and addressed the participants highlighting the importance of copper and allied fields over the centuries taking several examples and also emphasized on the way forward for the GETs in their respective fields towards the vision of Viksit Bharat, which also included a very productive interaction with the participants.
Shri Bibhu Mishra, Advisor, Hindalco Industries Limited graced the occasion as Guest of Honor and addressed the gathering with his own experiences in the field, focusing on the aluminium sector with specifics. Further he also narrated about the importance of regular training and interactions with academic and industry stakeholders in shaping the future of the engineering and technology sectors and interacted with the GETs.
Dr Ramanuj Narayan, Director, CSIR-IMMT has addressed the gathering (virtual mode) and detailed on the various activities of CSIR-IMMT and also CSIR and further stressed on the importance of collaborations and joint initiatives among the potential stakeholders from academia, industry and society at large.
Coordinator of this GET training Dr Kali Sanjay, Chief Scientist & Head-HBEM and BD presented his thoughts and remarks on efforts behind the planning, design and execution of the program and also expressed his observations on how the program is carriedout throughout this one month. Further, he also conveyed his regards to all the HODs, leadership group and other members of the team-IMMT.
Dr L D Besra, Head-MCIE has presided over the valedictory program and gave welcome address and made special remarks on the conduct of this program. Program Convener, Dr T Pavan Kumar has presented a brief report on this one month GET training and proposed the vote of thanks. All the dignitaries present during the valedictory have appreciated the efforts of the entire organizing team for the smooth conduct of this one month program. Team CSIR-IMMT has taken all the responsibility for the fruitful execution of this one month training program and the collective efforts of the members from various departments/sections of CSIR-IMMT resulted in systematic planning and successful conduct of the program.
The feedback expressed by the participants (GETs) during this valedictory event is a reflection and direct attestation to the overall success and grand conclusion of this one month external technical training for GETs of Hindalco Industries Limited at CSIR-IMMT, Bhubaneswar.
