TPWODL’s Mobile Health Dispensary Van Inaugurated in Nuapada by District Collector

Nuapada, July 9 : In a significant move towards strengthening rural healthcare infrastructure, TP Western Odisha Distribution Limited (TPWODL) has launched a Mobile Health Dispensary Van for Nuapada district today. The van is formally flagged off by Shri Madhusudan Dash, IAS, Collector & District Magistrate, Nuapada, at the Collectorate premises.
This initiative is part of TPWODL’s ongoing commitment for social welfare under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, which focuses on uplifting underserved communities across Western Odisha.
The newly launched mobile health unit is equipped with essential diagnostic and medical facilities and staffed by a qualified doctor, nurse, and pharmacist. It aims to deliver primary healthcare services, including medical check-ups, first aid, and treatment for common illnesses, especially in remote and inaccessible regions of Nuapada District
Addressing media, Shri Madhusudan Dash, IAS, appreciated TPWODL’s dedicated efforts towards rural health improvement and lauded the organization for taking concrete steps to ensure healthcare reaches the last mile.
The mobile dispensary’s operational route and schedule will be planned in consultation with the Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO), Nuapada, to effectively target areas lacking regular health services. The initiative is expected to benefit around 1 lakh people across the district.
Sharing his thoughts on this occasion, Shri Parveen Verma, CEO, TPWODL, said “ I am delighted to learn that the MHD for Nuapada District has been formally launched by the District Collector in presence of the CDMO at Nuapada today. Healthcare is a basic human right. Through this initiative, we aim to bridge the healthcare access gap in rural regions of Nuapada. This effort is aligned with our commitment to inclusive development and community welfare.”
This is to inform that previously, TPWODL has successfully deployed similar Mobile Health Dispensary Vans in Kalahandi, Sonepur, and Deogarh districts, underlining its focus on providing sustainable healthcare solutions to rural Odisha.
