9-Nagaon HPC Bye-Election 2026: DCs of Nagaon and Morigaon Jointly Inspect Strong Room and Counting Centre at Morigaon College.Assam

Morigaon/Assam, Sep25 : Shri Aranyak Saikia, IAS, District Commissioner, Nagaon and Returning Officer for the 9-Nagaon HPC Bye-Election 2026, accompanied by Smt. Srishti Singh, IAS, District Commissioner and District Election Officer, Morigaon, today jointly inspected the designated Strong Room and Counting Centre at Morigaon College for the Morigaon district portion of the 9-Nagaon HPC constituency.
During the inspection, the District Commissioners reviewed the arrangements and security protocols put in place at the Strong Room and Counting Centre to ensure the safe custody of EVMs and the smooth conduct of the counting process.
The inspection also covered the overall preparedness and security measures being undertaken by the district administration and concerned officials ahead of the bye-election.
The joint inspection reaffirmed the commitment of the Nagaon and Morigaon district administrations towards ensuring a free, fair, transparent and secure electoral process.
