Woman, NewbornDeserted By Husband & In-Laws At Hospital In Jajpur

Jajpur, JAN 11: A woman and her newbornbaby boy were allegedly abandoned by her husband and in-laws on hospital bed inOdisha’s Jajpur district. As per reports, the incident took place at theDistrict Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in Jajpur soon after the woman gave birthto the baby boy.
The woman has been identified as Dali Mallick of Ghatakulavillage of Madusudanpur Gram Pachayat under Binjharpur police station. Thewoman had reportedly got married to Chandan Mallick of Nagamatha village underAul block in Kendrapara district, in 2021.
Sources said Dali was admittedto the hospital on January 1 and she gave birth to a baby boy later. However,Chandan and his family members allegedly went away leaving Dali and the newbornat the hospital due to some family dispute.
Afterthe woman narrated her plight to others, information was given to the policeabout the shocking incident. The woman and the baby have been handed over toone-stop centre following the intervention of the police.
