Glory: Koraput Collector V. Keerthi Vasan Receives Prime Minister’s Award

Koraput, April 21: Koraput district in Odisha has brought immense pride to the state by being selected for the prestigious Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration 2024. The district was recognized under the category of **‘Holistic Development of Districts’** for its exemplary governance and development initiatives.
Collector Shri V. Keerthi Vasan Honored
Shri V. Keerthi Vasan, the Collector and District Magistrate of Koraput, was invited to attend the Civil Services Day celebration on April 21, 2025, held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi During the event, he received the award from the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.
The Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration is one of the highest honors conferred upon public servants in India. It recognizes innovative and impactful governance practices aimed at enhancing public service delivery and promoting inclusive growth.
Driving Holistic Development in Koraput
Under the dynamic leadership of Shri V. Keerthi Vasan, Koraput district has made significant progress across various sectors, including healthcare, education, infrastructure, and livelihood generation. The administration has adopted innovative models of governance, particularly leveraging technology to improve service delivery and enhance citizen engagement.
Shri Vasan, an IAS officer from the **2018 batch**, took charge as the Collector of Koraput following his tenure as **CDO-cum-EO, Zilla Parishad, Ganjam**. Since his posting, he has led the district with a clear vision focused on sustainable and inclusive development.
