Man  arrested killing his wife

JAJPUR,APR 20 ; Police arrested a 70 year old man on the charges of   killing his 63 year old wife with the help of another person  in Jajpur district.

 The deceased Binodini Sahoo was a retired Auxiliary Nurse Midwife(ANM).  She deposited around Rs80 Lakh in a bank and made her husband Alekha  Chandra Behera(68)  as a nominee . To get the money her husband  ,  Alekha hatched a plan  with Badal Behera (24) a relative    to  kill Binodini to withdraw  the money from the bank  as Alekha is a nominee . Both on  Monday  night attacked Binodini with an iron rod  on her head as a result she died. After her death , both the accused dumped the body inside the  toilet of the Madhusudanpur Upper Primary School at village Madhusudanpur.  . During interrogation, they confessed about their crime , said the IIC of Binjharpur police station,   Ansumala Das.

Both the accused  were  arrested under sections 302 (murder) and 201 ( Causing disappearance of evidence of offence)  and further investigation is underway. They were produced in the local court on Friday . The court rejected their bail applications and remanded them in jail custody,  added the police officer.
