Will register FIR today on wrestlers’ complaint: Delhi Police tells Supreme Court

NEW DELHI,APR 2 : The Delhi Police told the Supreme Court today that it will register an FIR by the end of the day today in the complaint filed by wrestlers alleging sexual harassment by Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

The Solicitor General (SG), Tushar Mehta, made the submission before a bench of Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud and Justice PS Narasimha.

The court has posted the case for further hearing next week to consider the threat perception to one of the survivors – a minor.

The wrestlers are on a sit-in protest in Delhi’s Jantar Mantar demanding action against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh over the allegations of sexual harassment against him.
