TMC’s Twitter account hacked, name and logo changed

KOLKATA,FEB 28: The official Twitter account of the Trinamool Congress was hacked on Tuesday. The display picture of the party’s account was changed and the display handle was changed to “Yuga Labs”. Party sources told India Today that they are trying to resolve the issue.

So far, the hackers have not tweeted any posts from the account.

Yuga Labs is a blockchain technology company based in the US that develops NFTs and digital collectibles. It also specializes in cryptocurrency and digital media.

Twitter hacked, email addresses of 200 million users leaked: Report

On December 10 last year, the official Twitter account of the YSR Congress was hacked. The account started promoting crypto-currencies. The party’s Twitter bio description was changed to “NFT millionaire” and the display photo was changed to a picture from the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) collection.

Earlier in October, the official Twitter account of the Telugu Desam Party was also hacked.

In April 2022, the official Twitter account of the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s Office was hacked. The hackers removed the Chief Minister’s display picture from the Twitter handle. Then too, the display photo was changed from UP CM Yogi Adityanath’s photo to a picture from the BAYC collection.

The hackers replaced the co-founder of the account with @BoredApeYC and @YugaLabs.
