Political fight now about who is bigger Hindu than PM Modi: Owaisi slams Congress, AAP
NEW DELHI,DEC 10 : AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday refuted charges of vote cutting in Gujarat polls and said that the reason the BJP was winning was because they are getting more Hindu votes. Speaking at Agenda AajTak 2022, Asaduddin Owaisi slammed the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party, alleging that the political fight was now about who is a “bigger Hindu” than PM Modi.
“The BJP is winning because they are getting more Hindu votes,” Asaduddin Owaisi said, adding, “The BJP will never get into states like Telangana, Hyderabad, or Kerala.”
“The BJP has clearly no relation with the Muslim community. And the AAP and the Congress are doing the same thing,” Asaduddin Owaisi alleged.
“Now the entire political fight has turned into who is a bigger Hindu than PM Modi. Then where will Indian nationalism go?” the AIMIM chief said.
Asaduddin Owaisi hit out at the BJP and Union minister Nitin Gadkari after the latter said that it is “unnnatural” to have four wives. Nitin Gadkari had made the comment in response to a question on Uniform Civil Code (UCC) at Agenda Aaj Tak event on Friday.
Owaisi attacked the BJP leader over the remark and said, “I challenge Gadkari to allow women entrance to Sabarimala temple. Your culture is culture, but my culture is not culture?”
“Muslim wives are legitimate wives. They get maintenance and share in properties,” Asaduddin Owaisi argued.
He further attacked the BJP and said they “speak about Uniform Civil Code but attack people over ‘love jihad’.”
