Modi calls upon youths skill, re-skill and upskill themselves to tune themselves to market requirments

Bhubaneswar, July 15: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday called upon people to acquire skill, hone the skill and then improve the skill to remain in contention in today’s market economy.
What more the PM said while addressing the nation on the occasion of World Youth Skill Day-
Knowledge and skill have difference. Realising this, the Government of India has been working for last few years. But this Skill India was launched. Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Yojana was launched.
More ITI centres have been launched.
India is collecting information on employment opportunities in domestic and foreign circuits and skilling people accordingly.
Merchant Navy is a great avenue for our youths. India has 7.5 coastline. We can train and give thousands of sailors to world by skilling our youths in the trade.
Skill mapping of workers have started in the country to provide jobs to them.
