Mercury Soars Above 40 Degrees C At 21 Places Of Odisha; Baripada Hottest With 44.2
Bhubaneswar, April 17: Mercury is on the rise at many places in Odisha and IMD has warned of a ‘heat wave’ in the State. Twenty-one places witnessed day temperatures above 40 Degrees Celsius today.
Baripada recorded the highest day temperature at 44.2 Degrees Celsius, followed by Boudh (43.5), Nuapada (43.5), Jharsuguda (43.4), Talcher (43.2), Sambalpur (43.2), Titilagarh (43.1), Angul (43.1), Bolangir (43.0), Sundargarh (42.8), Bhawanipatna (42.6), Rourkela (42.2), Sonepur (41.7), Hirakud (41.6), Cuttack (41.6), Dhenkanal (41.4), Paralakhemundi (41.1), Bargarh (40.8), Nayagarh (40.5), Keonjhar (40.4) and Chandbali (40.2).
