Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain will take over as ministers after release: Atishi

NEW DELHI,MAR 9 : Jailed Aam Aadmi Party leaders Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain will take charge of the education and health departments once they are out, newly appointed minister Atishi said.

“Satyendar Jain and Manish Sisodia have delivered historical work since Independence as the health and education ministers. The way Lord Ram went into exile and his brother, Bharat, handled the kingdom, we will work like that,” Atishi said.

“When they come back from jail, they will take charge of their ministries,” she added.

Cleaning the Yamuna is a priority, the minister said, adding, “We want cooperation from the L-G’s office. We want him to let work happen. Wo rokte rahe, hum kaam karte rahe (He kept stopping us but we kept working). We kept delivering on our work despite all the hurdles from their side.”

“The way the Centre is attacking the Delhi government, never in history has this sort of attack happened,” she said.

Satyendar Jain was jailed over charges of money laundering, while Manish Sisodia is in judicial custody in connection with the alleged liquor scam.
