Man arrested after police find Instagram reel of thieves flaunting stolen money

UTTAR PRADESH,OCTO 5 :  man who stole a large sum of money from the house of an astrologer in Kanpur was arrested after he and his associates posted an Instagram reel where they showed off the stolen cash.

The astrologer, Tarun Sharma, reported the theft to the police and the authorities retrieved CCTV footage where the thieves were caught on camera as they committed the crime.

However, the police were unable to trace them.

The thieves then decided to make an Instagram reel to show off their stolen loot. They spread the money on a hotel bed, recorded a video, and posted it on Instagram. The person behind the camera also held a stack of Rs 500 currency notes in his hand as piles of cash laid on the bed.

Police managed to locate and arrest one of the thieves after digital tracking and recovered around Rs 2 lakh in cash and two mobile phones from the suspect.
