Knowledge Sharing: One-day hands-on training on “Pearl Culture” at CUTM campus, Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Sept. 30: Centurion University of Technology & Management, Bhubaneswar and Society for Agricultural Research & Management (SARM) on Saturday jointly organized a One Day Hands-on Training on “Pearl Culture” at CUTM Campus, Bhubaneswar.
Shri. Manoj Kumar Bisoi, an Agripreneur from Samantarapur Village of Cuttack joined as the Resource person. This training was organized under the Chairmanship of Dr. Yashaswi Nayak, Dean, SoAS, CUTM. BSc & MSc students from the Dept. of Botany and Zoology participated in large number.
Advantages of Pearl farming, Grafting, Farming Methodology, Market demand of Pearls, feeding process, tank disinfecting techniques were the major topics which were discussed. Shri. Bisoi advised the students “To be a successful Agripreneur one should have dedication, sincerity, punctuality and strong will power.”
Dr. Gyanranjan Mahalik, Head of Department of Botany, Prof. Siba Prasad Parida, Dr. Gagan K Panigrahi, Dr. Pradip K Prusty from Dept. of Zoology, Shri. Debashish Ray Mohapatra, Senior Manager, E & S, and Garden Supervisor Shri. Somnath were present.
