‘Khalnayika’: BJP takes aim at AAP’s Atishi after MCD House brawl
New Delhi,Feb 25: A day after the MCD House brawl that left a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) councillor injured, the BJP released a poster on social media blaming Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Atishi for orchestrating the entire episode.
The BJP shared the poster with Atishi’s photo on Twitter and wrote, “AAP’s villainess, who caused the MCD house brawl.” The poster that has photos of Atishi and BJP councillors terms the brawl as the most shocking drama in 2023. It says it was a film produced by the AAP and directed party chief Arvind Kejriwal with Atishi as the villainess.
Meanwhile, cops have said that complaints had been registered by the BJP and the AAP against each other, but no FIR was filed.
A fight broke out in the MCD House on Friday as BJP and AAP members kicked, punched and pushed one another amid shouting after Mayor Shelly Oberoi declared one vote invalid in the election to a key six-member municipal committee on Friday.
During the ruckus, which forced the adjournment of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) House proceedings till February 27, a councillor, Ashok Manu, collapsed. He was rushed to a nearby hospital.
