JAJPUR, JULY 26 : Kargil Vijay Diwas, observed on July 26 every year, is a significant day in India’s history. It commemorates the victory of the Indian Armed Forces over Pakistan in the Kargil War of 1999.

This day is dedicated to the brave soldiers who fought valiantly to protect the sovereignty of the nation. Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated on July 26 each year.

 In 2024, it falls on a Friday. This day marks the conclusion of the Kargil conflict, with the Indian Army successfully recapturing all the posts occupied by Pakistani intruders.

The Kargil War, also known as the Kargil Conflict, took place between May and July 1999 in the Kargil district of Jammu and Kashmir.
