It’s brisk business for handicraft artisans at Ekamra Haat

The craftsmen record Rs a turnover of 10 lakh since Nov 2

Bhubaneswar, Nov. 12:   The Ekamra Haat which is functioning under the administrative control of Odisha government’s handlooms, textiles and handicrafts department has pledged to provide marketing platform to handicrafts artisans of the state for selling their products and help them for revival from the tough situation of Covid-19.

Utkalika has arranged 44 stalls for display and sale of products from dated November 2 to 15. As many as 62 of artisans from 18 districts are participating to showcase variety of crafts of Odisha out of which Pattachitra, Appliqué, Sabai Grass products  and horn crafts are the special attractions.

Visitors get the facility to see and buy different artistic as well as utility products directly from producers.

Apart from Utkalika, Boyanika, Amlan, Kalabhoomi and Sambalpuri Vastralaya have their individual stalls at Ekamra Haat.

Moreover, facilities such as Conference Hall, ATM, and Parking space are available for convenience of visitors.

The Ekamra Haat remains open from 10.00 am to 9.00 pm daily with strict adherence to Covid-19 protocols.

Till Thursday, the 62 artisans had registered a total business turnover of Rs 10 lakh
