HOD of MPC Autonomous College’s Commerce Department dies in road mishap

Baripada,Aug 4: In a tragic incident, HOD of Commerce Department of Maharaja Purna Chandra (MPC) Autonomous College’s Manisha Sharma died in a road mishap just 200 meters far from the educational institution Tuesday.
According to reports, the mishap took place when she was returning home from the college on a scooter.A speeding car hit the scooter leaving Sharma critically injured. She was rescued and rushed to a hospital by local residents, where doctor declared her dead.
The driver of the car fled the spot after the accident. Tension ran high on the college road as hundreds of irate students and local residents staged dharna demanding immediate arrest of the car driver.
On being informed, SP  Mayurbhanj Rishikesh D.Khillari along with Baripada Sadar SDPO and Baripada Town PS IIC and other officials reached the spot and tried to pacify the students and local residents.
