Hand-on-training cum work organised by Balangir Forest Division

Balangir, Sept. 16: Recently, a productive hands-on training-cum-workshop program was conducted at the Conference Hall of the Balangir Forest Division. It was a joint collaboration of the Bolangir Forest Division and the NIF Foundation of the Government of India.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Vana Surakhya Samiti (VSS) representatives from the Titilagarh and Bolangir Ranges.
The primary objective was to train them in various equipment, such as puffed rice-making, Sal/Siali leaf plate/bowl-making, multi-spice grinder, Sabai grass rope-making, and tamarind de-seeder machine. All these machines were designed and patented by various Rural Innovators.
The training was imparted by the Rural Innovators themselves. Through one-on-one interactions and hands-on field training, valuable skills were imparted to all the participants. The Bolangir Forest Division, always emphasizes the upliftment of the VSS members and Rural Innovators. This program was attended by Sri Nitish Kumar, IFS, DFO Balangir, Sri Ajit Bisi, ACF, Dr. Rahul Prakash, Sr. Scientist, from the NIF Foundation, Sri Jogendra Patra and other Rural Innovators.
