Ganja seized from Ambulance- two arrested

Jajpur ,Nov 1 :  Police seized  90 kilograms  of ganja  packed in three sacks from an ambulance on the highway no- 16   under Badachana police station in Jajpur  district on  Wednesday. Two persons including the driver of the vehicle  were arrested in this connection. The contraband was being transported from  Manguli   to Kolkata, said the IIC of Badachana police station,  Sarat Patra.

Acting on a tip-off from , we intercepted  the ambulance  on the NH-16 at Badachana on Wednesday morning and seized ganja  in the ambulance following a search operation. We seized the ambulance. Both the  accused were  trying to flee from the vehicle. We nabbed them after chasing them . Both the accused were identified as Sanju Patra   (27 ) of Medinipur, West Bengal and  Jogeswar Kahalia (26) of  Bangriposi in  Mayurbhanj district, added police officer.
