Balasore, May 29: In an exemplary move, noted social activist Bikram Panda on May 26 took orphan children to a local shopping mall on an outing to bring some smiles on their faces.
The children were taken to the mall in auto-rickshaws to the mall and they were asked to choose the articles as per their choices. The children bought dresses and other articles.
“It was a pleasant experience to visit the mall. We did not have this kind of opportunity before. We are very thankful to Bikram Uncle for his compassion and generosity,” said the children.
Mr Panda, who is known for his philanthropic activity, was inspired by Gajapati collector who had earlier undertaken a similar mission.
“I believe in the philosophy of love, care and compassion for the needy. I feel happy when I do something for the society which has given me so much,” Mr Panda told Indus Valley Times.
The young social worker has a mission – to serve the people in distress.
