Drunk truck driver kills two motorcyclists

Jajpur , May 22 : Two motorcyclists were killed after a drunk truck driver knocked their  two wheeler down on  the National Highway no- 16 near Sankardiha under Dharamshala police station in Jajpur district on Monday afternoon.

The accused driver has been booked under rash and negligent driving, death due to negligence, and also under drunken driving. The truck has been seized, said the IIC of  Dharmasala police station, Rakesh Tripathy. 

  Both the   deceased have been identified as  Ramesh Jena (28) and Sanjay Mohanty (39)  of Chahata  village .  They   died on the spot.  Police seized both  the bodies    and sent them to the government hospital at  Dharamsala     for autopsy. We are investigating the case,  added the police officer.
