Domestic gas cylinder price remains unchanged as price of commercial cylinders raised by Rs 266

New Delhi, Nov. 2: Commercial LPG price hiked by 266 as a result of which cylinder price in Delhi crosses Rs 2,000 mark.

The previous price per cyclinder was Rs 1,734.

There has been no hike in the domestic 14.2- litre cylinder prices. It is now available at many places Rs 961.

The increase in commercial cylinder price will lead to increase in prices of food stuff.

Since the LPG price for per tonne in international market hover over $ 800, there is little possibility of any cut in the LPG prices at this moment, say experts.

It is speculated that the Government of India might consider hiking of LPG price after Diwali.

The three oil marketing companies (OMCs) – Indian Oil, Hindusthan Petroleum and Bharat Petroleum – are now incurring huge losses as they sell LPG far below its market price.
