Delhi liquor scam: By framing false case, they’re planning to arrest me, says Sisodia ahead of CBI questioning

NEW DELHI, OTO 17 : Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, on Monday, alleged that he is “being framed in false cases” ahead of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) questioning in the Delhi excise policy case today. He added that “they are planning to arrest me to stop me from participating in the Gujarat election campaign.”

The CBI, on Sunday, summoned Manish Sisodia for questioning in the Delhi excise policy case. He has been called for questioning at 11 am on October 16, Monday.

Without naming a party or person, Sisodia alleged that “they are planning to arrest me by making a completely fake case against me.”

Taking to Twitter, the Delhi Deputy CM said, “They are preparing to arrest me by making a completely fake case against me. I was to go to Gujarat for election campaign in the coming days. These people are losing Gujarat badly. Their purpose is to stop me from going to Gujarat election campaign.”

In another tweet, Sisodia said, “When I went to Gujarat, I told the people of Gujarat that we will build wonderful schools like Delhi for your children in the state too. People are very happy. But these people neither want good schools to be built in Gujarat, nor the people of Gujarat to study and progress.”

Ahead of the CBI questioning on Monday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the case against Manish Sisodia is “false.”

“Nothing was found in Manish’s house raid, nothing was found in the bank locker. The case against them is totally false. He had to go to Gujarat for election campaign. He is being arrested to stop him but the election campaign will not stop. Every person of Gujarat is promoting “AAP” today,” Kejriwal tweeted today.

On Monday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal called the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) summon to Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia for questioning in the Delhi excise policy case as “Second fight for freedom.”
