Congress announces State-wide agitation from tomorrow over Kunduli row
Bhubaneswar , feb 18 : The state unit of Congress will launch a State-wide demonstration on Monday to protest the Kunduli gangrape and suicide case, informed Congress SC cell chairman and Koraput MLA Krushna Sargaria at a press conference here on Sunday.
The agitation will be held across Odisha in a phased manner.
Sargaria alleged that the Government is trying to sabotage the probe by saying that law would take its course and punish the guilty.
He further stated, that the government is yet to clarify who will be in the SIT to probe the incident as the Government is yet to inform about this to Orissa High Court.
The Congress would intensify their protest and hold demonstration in a phased manner in Cuttack, Sambalpur, Berhanmpur and Balsore, said Sargaria.
On the other hand, BJD Rajya Sabha Member and Spokesperson Pratap Deb said Congress’s allegations are baseless and said, “Government has already informed the Honourable Court about the SIT probe. High Court would take its decision.”
