BIPF felicitates recipients of Prof Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship (PGDS) 2021

Bhubaneswar, Oct. 23: Bansidhar & Ila Panda Foundation (BIPF) and Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Limited (IMFA) on Sunday held the award ceremony for recipients of ‘Professor Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship for Higher Education’ PGDS 2021.
Six meritorious students, pursuing professional degree courses in different disciplines received this prestigious scholarship for the academic year 2021-22. The selected candidates will get 90% of the academic fee and eligible expenses for 4 year degree course.
Recipients of PGDS 2021 are :
- Mr Nimain Biswaranjan Behera is pursuing MBBS, at Institute Of Medical Sciences, BHU, Varanasi.
- Mr Adya Ranjan Sahoo pursuing B.Tech. at NIT Rourkela.
- Mr Bikash Mohanty is pursuing B.Tech at IIT Kharagpur.
- Mr P.Manoj Kumar is pursuing B.Tech at IIT Kharagpur.
- Mr Sambit Mohanty pursuing B.Tech at Indira Gandhi Institute Of Technology, Sarang.
- Mr Pritish Kumar Das is pursuing B.Tech at Veer Surendra Sai University Of Technology, Burla.
IMFA’s trysts with ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ began with a single vision shared by Late Dr. Bansidhar Panda & Late Mrs. Ila Panda. Their visions are now being realized by their solemn successors. Instituted in the year 2005, this scholarship named after renowned historian Late Prof. Ghanashyam Dash, father of late Ms. Ila Panda is an effort to provide financial assistance to meritorious students to realize their dreams and in turn bounce the society with a handful of young professionals.
The scholarships were awarded by Ms Paramita Panda (Trustee of Bansidhar & Ila Panda Foundation) in presence of Mr C R Ray ( Whole -Time Director, IMFA) , Mr T C Hota ( Sr Advisor , BIPF ) ,Mr Bijayananda Mohapatra (COO-IMFA), Mr Ashok Kumar Behera (Vice-President,BIPF) and senior dignitaries of the organisation.
On this occasion, Ms Paramita Panda said “Every year, PGDS scholarship is awarded to six meritorious students’ to facilitate higher education in the field of Engineering, Medicine and Liberal arts across India. including IITs, NITs AIIMS , SCB, MKCG, AFMC and other premier government institutes. The past recipients of PGDS have excelled in their studies and are now well placed in their respective profession and some have chosen to pursue post-graduation and research course. This not only helps students to pursue their dream for higher education but enables them to have a progressive future and contribute to family & society”.
