Balangir shines in Odisha State Pencak Silat Championship with 9 medals

Balangir:The 7th Odisha State Pencak Silat Championship for the year 2024-25, was in Rourkela at Bhanja Bhawan from 31st August to 1st September 2024.
The event was graced by Vigyani Sekhar Deo as chief guest and local MLA Sarada Prasad Nayak.
More than 350 students from 20 districts participated in this Championship. Of them six students from Balangir district Pencak Silat Association participated in the competition and earned nine medals which included one gold, five silver and three bronze.
The Balangir team participated in the event under the guidance of Guru Prasanta Patra, General Secretary and President Mahendra Kumar Darjee of Pencak Silat Association Balangir.
Medal winner of the championship are, Kirtika Agrawal and Ishani Jain fight in the event of Tanding and earn gold and silver medal,Som Narayan Deep in Tanding and earn bronze, Trilokesh Satpathy in tending and Tunggal earn Bronze and silver medal,Sthita Prangyan Mishra in Tending and Tunggal earn silver and Bronze medal,Khusi Ram Seth in Tunggal and Tanding earn two silver medal.
