Another Manipur shocker, video of chopped head emerges

Manipur,July 21 :  A horrific video of a chopped head on display in Manipur has now surfaced online, days after a viral video of two women being paraded naked by a mob in Manipur shocked the nation.

The video shows the chopped head of a Kuki man, identified as David Thiek, being placed on a fence made of bamboo sticks in a residential area in the Bishnupur district, India Today NE reported.

Thiek was reportedly killed during a clash on July 2 at 12 am in which three people lost their lives.

There was fresh tension in Manipur on Friday after the May 4 video showed women being paraded naked and groped by a group of men. Four people were arrested a day after the video surfaced. On Thursday, a massive protest rally was held against the violence.

Manipur has been witnessing ethnic clashes since May between the majority Meitei community, concentrated in the Imphal valley, and the tribal Kukis, occupying the hills. Over 160 people have been killed in the violence so far.
