Security breach during PM Modi’s poll rally in Karnataka’s Davanagere

Karnataka,Mar 25 :  Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security was breached during his election rally in Karnataka’s Davanagere on Saturday. The security was breached by a man who tried to turn towards the prime minister but was caught by the police just in time.

This was the second incident when the prime minister’s security was breached. Earlier, during his road show in Hubblli a kid had come close to the prime minister.

The incident took place when PM Modi was heading towards the Hubballi-Dharwad Railway Sports Ground to inaugurate the 26th edition of the National Youth Festival. However, the boy was pulled away by the security personnel.

Weeks ahead of the Karnataka assembly elections, PM Modi on Saturday inaugurated the Rs-4,249 crore, 13.71-km Whitefield (Kadugodi) to Krishnarajapura metro line, which comprises 12 stations. Officials said this section is the eastern extension of the operational East-West Corridor (Purple Line) from Baiyappanahalli to Whitefield Station.
