Forest officials seize truck loaded with 60 pieces of kendu log

Boudh, March 20: Forest officials of Boudh have seized a truck from Khuntigora beat of Ghantapada section loaded with 60 kendu logs from Kantamal range.

Three persons were arrested in connection with the seizure of kendu logs. They are  Suvin Patra (48) of West Bengal, Tapan Rout  (30) West Bengal and Bidyadhar Das (58) of Sambalpur.

The seizure of the logs came after Assistant Conservator of Forest Asish Kanhar, forest guard Prakash Pradhan and Santosh Barik carried out raid.

Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Debapriya Kamp had directed for the raid.
