CISF unit of PPA celebrates 54th Raising Day

Paradip, March 11: The Central Industrial Security Forces (CISF) Unit of Paradip Port Authority (PPA) observed its 54th Raising Day in its local complex.  Chief guest, PPA Chairman Shri P.L. Haranadh took the salute from the marching contingents.

Addressing the gathering, he said the CISF is created for the better protection and security of industrial undertakings in the country. It is no longer a PSU-centric force. With the number of personnel having reached over 1,63,000, it has transformed into a multi-skill security agency of the country mandated to provide security to the major diverse installations. Hard work, dedication and sincerity shown by the CISF personnel over the years is highly commendable. PPA is going to emerge as highest growing Port in the county in the current fiscal by registering a growth of 17-18%. It is emerging as one of the important cargo destination and local CISF Unit is always in forefront for ensuring security in the Port and contributing to its healthy productivity. A new modernized Vessel Traffic Management System will soon come up in the Port and it will boost the traffic movement in the Port.

 Function was organised under the guidance of CISF Commandant Shri Akshat Patel. Under the supervision of Deputy commandant Sh. Bishnuswaroop, CISF Personnel performed fire drill & dog demonstration on the occasion. Deputy Commandant, CISF Unit, PPA Shri B V Durgaprasad finally offered vote of thanks.
