A woman attacked by bear

 Jajpur,Dec 26 : A 33  –year old  woman  sustained serious injuries when she was attacked by a wild sloth bear   on   Monday  in  village Santipur under Dharmasala block  in Jajpur district. 

A  bear attacked Sukanti Barik, wife of Bharat Barik  when she was going to the village pond  to take bath and wash utensils  .

 She was alone  when  suddenly the bear  attacked her from behind  . The bear came from the nearby  Balarampur hillock   . Bear  pounced upon her   as a result she sustained injuries on back, face and leg  

   Sukanti was first admitted to the  Primary  Health Center (PHC) at Dharamsala. . Later she was shifted to the SCB medical college and hospital at Cuttack.
