Odisha: KIIT announces free education for children of Covid-19 victims

BHUBANESWAR, JULY 26: In a noble gesture, Odisha’s KIIT University on Sunday announced to provide technical and professional education free of cost to the children of those who died of Covid-19.

“Sons and daughters of the Covid deceased, who are interested for the education, can apply for different technical and professional courses of KIIT University, including ITI and Diploma, as per their eligibility for admission. This facility will be available for two academic years,  2020-21 and 2021-22,” informed KIIT authorities.

KIIT University founder Dr Achyuta Samanta said the noble gesture will bring some hope of good future to children of Covid-19 victims.

By Sunday evening, the Covid death figure in the state stood at 174.
