Jajpur, Jun 7 : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday organised a district-level workshop and workers’ meeting at Kuakhia in Jajpur district to highlight the achievements of the double engine government — marking 11 years at the Centre and one year in Odisha.
Addressing the gathering, BJP leaders said the golden era of a developed India lies in service, good governance, and welfare of the poor. They emphasised that within just 360 days of assuming office in Odisha, the state government, in tandem with the Centre, has prioritised the overall development of the state, including Jajpur district.
The leaders outlined several key milestones, including the fulfillment of the government’s election promise to double farmers’ income, the landmark Subhadra Yojana empowering women across the state, firm action against corruption that hindered development, reservation provisions for backward classes in education, and the opening of all four gates of the Jagannath Temple in Puri for devotees — a deeply symbolic step welcomed by Jagannath lovers worldwide.
Former BJP state president Sameer Mohanty attended the event as chief guest. Among other prominent participants were Jajpur district BJP president Debyani Pradhan, former district president Gautam Ray, Jajpur district BJP MP Rabinarayan Behera, Korei MLA Akash Das Nayak, Barachana MLA Amar Nayak, and several senior leaders of the party.
The party leaders said the workshop was aimed at informing the people of Odisha about the achievements of both the Central and state governments in this short span and reaffirmed their commitment to continuing the momentum of development across all sectors.
