A couple killed  and two injured in road accident

Jajpur, JULY 4 :  A couple was  killed  and two    sustained serious injuries in a road accident  on National Highway No- 16 at  Sharma Petrol -Pump  Chhack  under  Panikoili   police station  in Jajpur  district  on Thursday wee hours     when  their car   dashed with a truck .

 Both the deceased have been identified as Binod Jena (54) and Sumitra Jena (50) of  Soro in Balasore district . Both  died on the spot after suffering serious head injuries.  They were returning to Soro from Cuttack in their four wheeler  when the  car  hit the truck. . Two injured persons   are now undergoing treatment in  the SCB medical college and hospital at Cuttack.  We suspect that the driver of the car  had dozed off at the wheel as a result of which the four-wheeler   hit the truck  ,said the IIC of Panikoili   police station,  Lizarani Biswal.
